Scavenger Hunt

Today, I had my first day of Orientation. We had a scavenger hunt. We were paired off into groups of 4-6 people, handed a list of questions, and sent off into the zoo for 2 hours. The scavenger hunt was pretty cool actually. We got to walk around and see the zoo for free, and they are paying us for it! We had to find silly things like, how many bathrooms are in the park and name some of the animals for certain exhibits. it was a pretty cool way to make you get to know people.

Once we were done with that, it was time to head back inside. Where we learned the ins and outs of working at a zoo. Our instructor would hand out little toy animals if we answered a question.

As you can see, I got an elephant. It seems fitting don't ya think? (that's a question for all you stalkers out there..)
Anyways, I go back tomorrow and Wednesday for more learnin'. Should be fun.
I also go back tonight for my second sign class. I'm afraid the teacher is going to break us up into groups. I don't do well talking to strangers one on one, or at all. So lets hope I can get through it.

What a great idea. Only in a zoo would you have a fun orientation. Sounds like good things are coming your way.

Well done on your orientation. I'd love to work in a zoo!

Good luck on your sign class. I hate talking to strangers one on one as well. They made us do that in my tutorial last week and then we had to introduce our partner to the rest of the class. I wanted to die. But I got through it, and so will you!
