A Day Out

Yesterday I got to spend the whole day with my husband. Its rare that he gets a day off during the week, so we took full advantage of it!

My husband has decided that he wants to take up hockey. Now, he's from St. Louise Missouri, so hockey is a natural thing for him. He just hasn't had the opportunity to play since he moved out of Missouri. We just recently found the ice rinks here, and there's quit a few of them!!

So, we spent the day getting him some new hockey equipment (All his old stuff he's had since he was like 17..) and checking out the rinks.

Here's my hubby in his hockey gear..

We had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe.

What a neat experience that was!! There where all kinds of animals that were animated. Every few minutes, they would come alive and make noises and move around.

This is where you walk into the restaurant. You get to walk under the fishys.

We got seated right by, (can you guess?) the elephants! Can you believe it?! Seems like everything is all about the elephants lately!

We spent the evening at the skating rink so the hubby could get back in practice. It's been a while since he was out on the ice. He got to skate for an hour, before they closed off the rink for a hockey game. We stuck around for a bit to watch the game before we headed home.

I love these kind of days. Ofcourse it's hard to get them with 4 kids, but I think I can recall them.

I dig the Rainforrest Cafe for the theme and decor.. don't you just LOVE the monsoons? But the food is sort of eh. We took #2 there for her 8th birthday and did their party pack that was a blast.

Check ya later my Pacaderm Pal.. he he
