A Message From Ford

Ford, or Kitty as we call him, wanted me to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments he received on Wordless Wednesday.

He would like to share with you all, a video, of him playing fetch. How many of you out there can say your cat plays fetch? Yup that's right, we have one special cat!!

Now if only I could get that dang video to load.. Anyone out there have any tips on loading video's?

Well it looks like your just going to have to deal with some more photo's of Kitty, er Ford.

He like's to lay on us when we're on the couch. He's very spoiled, because we let him lay wherever he wants on us..
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

A Day Out

Yesterday I got to spend the whole day with my husband. Its rare that he gets a day off during the week, so we took full advantage of it!

My husband has decided that he wants to take up hockey. Now, he's from St. Louise Missouri, so hockey is a natural thing for him. He just hasn't had the opportunity to play since he moved out of Missouri. We just recently found the ice rinks here, and there's quit a few of them!!

So, we spent the day getting him some new hockey equipment (All his old stuff he's had since he was like 17..) and checking out the rinks.

Here's my hubby in his hockey gear..

We had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe.

What a neat experience that was!! There where all kinds of animals that were animated. Every few minutes, they would come alive and make noises and move around.

This is where you walk into the restaurant. You get to walk under the fishys.

We got seated right by, (can you guess?) the elephants! Can you believe it?! Seems like everything is all about the elephants lately!

We spent the evening at the skating rink so the hubby could get back in practice. It's been a while since he was out on the ice. He got to skate for an hour, before they closed off the rink for a hockey game. We stuck around for a bit to watch the game before we headed home.

Scavenger Hunt

Today, I had my first day of Orientation. We had a scavenger hunt. We were paired off into groups of 4-6 people, handed a list of questions, and sent off into the zoo for 2 hours. The scavenger hunt was pretty cool actually. We got to walk around and see the zoo for free, and they are paying us for it! We had to find silly things like, how many bathrooms are in the park and name some of the animals for certain exhibits. it was a pretty cool way to make you get to know people.

Once we were done with that, it was time to head back inside. Where we learned the ins and outs of working at a zoo. Our instructor would hand out little toy animals if we answered a question.

As you can see, I got an elephant. It seems fitting don't ya think? (that's a question for all you stalkers out there..)
Anyways, I go back tomorrow and Wednesday for more learnin'. Should be fun.
I also go back tonight for my second sign class. I'm afraid the teacher is going to break us up into groups. I don't do well talking to strangers one on one, or at all. So lets hope I can get through it.
